Hello, I am Larry DeBerry of Shiloh, Tn. I am blessed to have lived next door to shiloh all my life. I have studied and walked shiloh for over 40 years now. I have been giving tours for about 15 years. My direct anchestors go all the way back to Shiloh's begining in the early 1800s. I live about 1 -1\2 miles from the Shiloh Log Church. My GG Grandfather George Washington Sowell help build this church in 1851. During the first days battle he was standing on his front porch and was hit by a stray bullet and killed. I also have 21 other Grandmothers and Grandfathers buried in the old cemetery. The fields today are named after the families who lived there during the battle. There are many named after my direct kin.
